Sport Pilot Training

I'm interested in training for the new Sport Pilot license when that option becomes available next year. Will sport pilot training be offerred by the Santa Cruz Flying Club? Do any of the club's aircraft meet the proposed Light Sport Aircraft rule?

The Santa Cruz Flying Club is very interested in the new Light Sport pilots certificate and light sport aircraft. We have been talking with an aircraft owner for the past year about possibly bringing a Cheetah XLS light sport airplane on line once he moves it to the Watsonville area.
